DVC Rentals

DVC Rentals at a Great Price!

Disney's "best kept secret" isn't very well kept anymore. If you've spent any time in the Disney theme parks or are familiar with any Disney vacation destination, you have undoubtedly heard of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC). Most commonly referred to as Disney timeshare rentals, the Disney Vacation Club essentially functions like a timeshare program and DVC rentals are the best way to experience the magic.

"On property" resorts are those which are located right on Disney property, offering an exclusive set of perks (complimentary transportation, package pick-up, extra magical hours, etc.). DVC rentals at these resorts are also the closest to the magic, each near a different Disney park and its own unique theme and appeal.

With Disney timeshare rentals, you'll receive all the benefits of being on property and inside the magic, but in a home-like setting that offers additional space, amenities and value - all in a deluxe setting.

Enjoy the Larger Units with DVC

DVC Rentals have a wide variety of deluxe resort villas and offer accommodations for anyone; from a small family looking for a little extra space to a multi-generational family traveling together. Current Disney rentals are offered across the family of DVC resort properties and include the following accommodations:

  • Studios - accommodate up to four guests
  • One-Bedroom Villas - accommodate up to four guests
  • Two-Bedroom Villas - accommodate up to eight guests
  • Three-Bedroom Villas - accommodate up to twelve guests

Size matters, especially for families of five who are forced into paying the premium price for a family suite at a value resort or separating into two separate rooms, as the maximum capacity in standard Disney resort rooms is four. Average one-bedroom Disney Vacation Club rentals are almost double the size of the family suites at the value resorts and offer far more in a deluxe resort setting.

A standard room at a value resort averages 260 square feet and sleeps up to four, while moderate resorts average about 314 square feet. The smallest Disney timeshare villa, a studio, sleeps up to four but starts at 329 square feet, giving your family needed additional space.

Extra Amenities Matter

Each room can also accommodate an additional child under the age of 3 in a portable crib and offers additional amenities you won't find in a standard hotel room, such as:

  • Kitchenette - with small refrigerator, microwave, sink area and wet-bar (studios)
  • Full Kitchen - with refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher and all the serving ware and cookware
  • In-room washer and dryer units - in the one, two and three bedroom villas
  • Separate living room - in the one, two and three bedroom villas

If purchasing into DVC isn't a step you're prepared to make, you can still benefit from what DVC has to offer with Disney Vacation Club rentals. Like many timeshare programs, DVC owners purchase a certain amount of points which they can then use for their Disney vacations. Owners of these timeshare points will often rent their DVC properties based on a dollar amount "per point".

The Savings Add Up

Since the rate per night on the timeshare properties is set by DVC, the added financial benefit of DVC rentals involve savings on the inevitable taxes and fees that come with standard hotel room bookings, plus any seasonal and annual rate increases.

Seasonal discounts and promotional offers can provide some savings to Disney travelers, but with a limited number of villa properties and priority going to Disney Vacation Club Members, the chances of a non-member benefiting from a standard promotional discount will not offer you the same rate of savings that a rental will.

A four night stay at a studio villa with the spring room offer promotion is $1,269 MORE than renting the same property from a Vacation Club member. That financial benefit increases with rental of the one-bedroom and above villas, plus utilizing the kitchen area can offer additional savings on out of pocket expenses such as dining. A family of four that replaces just one quick service meal a day over their four night stay saves an average of $240. The peace of mind for those with food allergies or dietary restrictions, who can prepare their own food, is priceless.

Be sure to take all of your family's needs into consideration before booking your Disney vacation, since there is no single solution to every vacation situation. If it's extra space, value and amenities you are looking for, a Disney rental with Disney Vacation Club will go a long way toward providing you with lasting vacation memories for your entire family.
