Colombia Timeshare

Colombia is one of the most extraordinary places to visit in South America. It has just about everything you could want - from crystal blue Caribbean beaches, tropical Amazon rainforest and the gigantic Andes Mountains. For history aficionados, it has some of the best-preserved colonial cities as well as amazing archeological sites. A Colombia timeshare vacation lets you take it all in on your schedule.

Cartagena is on the Caribbean coast and has a historic walled city that will carry you back centuries in time to when the Spanish ruled. The architecture, surrounding stone walls, several magnificent churches and labyrinth of streets with shops and cafés all work to make this one of the must-see places in the country. It’s also one of the best places to own a Colombia timeshare because it has so much to offer visitors.

Medellin is another exciting city to visit. You can take a cable car into the hills or visit the Old Quarter at Botero Plaza where there are 23 sculptures by Fernando Botero. El Poblado is a great place to end your day with shops, restaurants and nightlife.

Incredible Nature Activities

Nature-lovers shouldn’t miss a visit to Letitia, the capital of the Amazon Basin. It is on the banks of the Amazon River and offers eco-tourism, hikes into the Amazon and wildlife safaris. If you are looking for the perfect beach vacation destination, try Tayrona National Natural Park. The water is warm and inviting and the lagoons are surrounded by the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains.

For the seriously adventurous, a trek to The Lost City is essential. Ciudad Perdida is deep in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains and was hidden until 1970. Built between the eighth and fourteenth centuries, it is one of the largest pre-Colombian settlements in the Americas. It takes four days and 44 kilometers to reach the destination and you must book in advance.

Fascinating Marine Life

If you love marine life, you will love a visit to Providencia Island. It is a world of its own. The inhabitants don’t speak Spanish, but English Creole. It’s a tiny island but has a UNESCO-protected Seaflower Biosphere Reserve. You can see a huge variety of marine life.

Back in the cities, anyone who read Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s books will enjoy a visit to Mompox. This city is the inspiration for the town in One Hundred Years of Solitude. Once the center for Simon Bolivar, today it is a town that time forgot. You will find a peaceful old colonial atmosphere and can take a boat trip through the Pinjino Swamp to see wildlife and myriad birds.

Owning a Colombia timeshare is your guarantee of affordable accommodation whether you visit in the high season in the winter or during summer vacation.
