Plan Your Next Trip to St. John

There is something mesmerizing about the Caribbean. In the U.S. Virgin Islands, the water is always warm and a vibrant shade of blue. Have you ever thought how magical it would be to spend all your vacations in a place like the island of St. John? There is so much here to see and do that a St. John timeshare is the easiest vacation choice you will ever make. You may never want to go home.

Five Things You Must Do on St. John

One of the first things you’ll notice when arriving at your St John timeshare is the sugary, white sand. St. John is two-thirds national park and boasts a pristine visitor experience. The North Shore is the most popular stretch of beach, and it’s never too crowded. This island has many award-winning beaches, so you could spend days exploring them all.

1. Scuba Dive or Snorkel

If you prefer to be a bit of an adventurist, then you should try snorkeling or scuba diving since many people head to St. John just for the experience of these water sports. Trunk Bay is a great spot for seeing what lives underneath the water, and boasts a marked underwater snorkel trail for you to follow. If you don’t have the equipment, there are plenty of places to rent what you need. Bring along an underwater camera for the ultimate vacation photos.

2. Duty-Free Shopping

Even though the island is a United States territory and you don’t need a passport to visit if you are a U.S. citizen, the island is still considered a duty-free shopping zone. When you’re ready for some retail therapy, head over to Cruz Bay, Wharf Side Village or Mongoose Junction. While you will find the usual perfume, alcohol and jewelry on sale, you will find amazing hand-made jewelry, fabrics and artwork to consider this as much a cultural experience as it is about the shopping.

3. Sightseeing to Historic and Natural Attractions

While this Caribbean icon is primarily about the sun and beaches, there is fascinating history attached to St. John. The ruins of Annaberg Sugar Plantation date back to the 1780s and the era when rum and sugar were the primary export. Also take in the petroglyphs along the Reef Bay Trail where you will find these amazing rock carvings among the remains of four sugar estates. And with over two dozen walking and hiking trails throughout the national park, you can take in all the nature you like at your own pace.

4. Boat Rentals & Charters

Family members of all ages love renting boats and exploring the fabulous waters surrounding the island. If you’re not feeling adventurous and don’t want to drive a boat, you can always take a charter. Go fishing and see what surprises you will pull out of the ocean. You never know what you might hook with all that marine life swimming around, but Marlin, Mahi-Mahi), Wahoo and Tuna are the best bets. Who knows, you may see a dolphin or two.

5. Spice Up the Night

For such a laid-back place, St. John features an impressive array of dining options. From the local cuisine at Morgan’s Mango and The Lime Inn to easy American fare at Skinny Legs Bar and Grill, there is something for every appetite. Fine dining at ZoZo’s and The Terrace give you that upscale feel. And there is always a beach bar nearby!

When Should You Visit St. John?

Did you know that this area has four distinct seasons? They are High, Low, Holiday and Shoulder. Mid-January to May is considered the High season, June to Mid-December is Low season, and Mid-December to Mid-January is the Holiday season. Shoulder season is from April-June. Take this into consideration when choosing your St John timeshare since this can affect not only the availability of timeshares but the price as well.

Remember that the resale market is always the best option for buying a timeshare since you are buying from an existing owner and not through the resort with their marked-up prices. By buying resale, you eliminate the sales and marketing costs and commissions that are baked into the resort retail price – giving you a great discount on timeshares at this fantastic destination.

What are you waiting for? The entire area is utopia. Make your plans to travel to the beautiful island of St. John during this and every year.
