Many vacationers say that Los Lagos at Hot Springs Village is unlike any vacation resort they have ever experienced. As part of a 26,000-acre, dedicated and restricted residential and recreational complex, this unique Festiva timeshare resort offers the security of a real community, (where some lucky folks live year-round) paired with almost endless opportunities for fun and relaxation. In fact, the Hot Springs Village vacation and residential destination is so distinctive, it is believed to be the largest gated community in America.

Translated, the words “Los Lagos,” mean “the lakes,” an appropriate name for this wooded retreat in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains, situated in an area dotted with a half dozen lakes and streams. This is paradise for anglers, boaters, and anyone who enjoys water sports. Now add in championship golf courses, miles of hiking, horseback riding, and biking trails, and theme parks and water parks, and it’s easy to see why so many families and couples choose this as their favorite vacation spot year after year.

You could even describe Hot Springs Village (called HSV by residents and locals) as one big playground located in a temperate, year-round vacation locale. Yet for all the fun activities you can enjoy as a Los Lagos at Hot Springs Village vacation owner, the most popular attractions are the hot springs themselves.

Soak in the Relaxation of a Los Lagos at Hot Springs Village Vacation

The natural mineral springs found at Hot Springs National Park have drawn visitors and vacationers to this area for centuries. Known as “The American Spa,” Hot Springs National Park offers both private tubs and public pools for soaking in the natural springs, believed to be healing and restorative to both the body and the spirit.

Native Americans, early Spanish explorers, and thousands of others, including U.S. Presidents, have visited Hot Springs, Arkansas to bathe in the water that first falls as rain, seeps slowly into the ground, becoming part of the natural watershed a mile or more beneath the earth’s surface, and is then heated by the natural heat gradient of compression and earth. Under pressure as heated water, it then rises forcefully, ‘springing’ through a fault occurring at the base of Hot Springs Mountain.

Through this process, the water (which surfaces at a temperature of 143 degrees Fahrenheit) becomes a ‘cocktail’ of silica, calcium, bicarbonate, sulfate, magnesium, sodium, oxygen, potassium and other minerals. The National Park offers a traditional bath experience at the historic Buckstaff Bathhouse and a modern-style spa experience at the Quapaw Baths and Spa. From mineral water drinks, to steam cabinets, to long, leisurely soaks, the natural waters of these bubbling springs can be enjoyed in every season of the year.

Timeshares at Los Lagos at Hot Springs Village

Offering 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom floor plans, the timeshare cabins at this Festiva Resort include kitchens with microwaves and dishwashers, (no need for roughing it in these comfy cabins), living and dining areas, cable or satellite television service, DVD players, private decks, in-unit washers and dryers, and whirlpool soaking tubs in the master bathrooms.

The Hot Springs Village complex includes six 18-hole golf courses, two outdoor pools, a playground and picnic area, tennis courts, walking paths, and access to Lake Ouachita and Lake Hamilton. You can also enjoy a fitness center, indoor pool, volleyball courts, badminton, and horseshoes.

And because this is more than a resort, when you buy timeshare resales at Los Lagos, you become part of a neighborhood where residents, vacation owners, and guests enjoy holiday celebrations, outdoor concerts, church services, shopping, antique hunting, craft shows and local galleries. Think about it—a neighborhood in Hot Springs Village and timeshare ownership in the Festiva Family of resorts—that’s a double-bonus vacation plan you and your family can enjoy for years to come!
