Mittersill Alpine Resort is a great place to visit year round. Visitor amenities include indoor/outdoor swimming pools (seasonal), Jacuzzi, sauna, fitness room, game room, and tennis courts (seasonal). The Mittersill lift is now in operation, where skiers can access Cannon Mountain; during the summer, golf courses are just a short drive. If you don't feel liking using your kitchen, Thursday through Saturday, guests can hit Baron's Pub for beer and wine, and light fare. You can also play pool, listen to the jukebox, sing karaoke, watch TV or play darts. There is something for everyone. Public Wi-Fi is available in the adjacent Alpine Room.
Mittersill is a Alpes-styled resort that was built back in 1945 by Baron Hubert von Pantz. In the lobby, there is a guest book displaying the signature of Queen Elizabeth who was once a guest. The resort is situation on Mittersill Mountain, immediately adjacent to Cannon Mountain and Franconia Notch State Park in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. During this week of May (interval 19) the forest floor is covered in the white blossoms of Edelweiss and trillium, not to mention Lady Slipper wild orchids. Spring is the best time to hike before the crowds and heat of summer arrives in the whites.
