My wife and I have been going to Puerto Vallarta almost every year since 2005 and staying at various resorts. We purchased a 15 year contract with Marival when we learned that this firm had bought out Rancho Banderas (a great experience) near Punta Vita. Our most recent visit was in early 2020 just prior to the over-reacting Covid-19 Lockdowns. The entire Baia Banderas area is wonderful (we especially like going to the village of Buccerias for their annual art-walk and delectable restaurants, Sandrina's in particular as well as Mar y Sol, right on the beach). We have not much explored the southern sections of the Bay except to have dinner at the Cliffs and to see 'Rhythms of the Night' down past Yalapa.
Our timeshare/vacation club membership at Marival expires in 2027, and things being as they are with Covid, we are unsure as to our current ability to travel to Mexico. Therefore, we have lowered our selling price and to the surprise of many, would not be greatly disappointed if no offers are forthcoming. That may sound odd, but we have enjoyed Puerto Vallarta so much that, if it were feasible, we would attempt to retire there.
Our contract with Marival ends 2027, which leaves only 4 years. We are reducing our list price to $500.00 as the last 4 years will necessitate Maintenance fees of $700.00+ per year but will be terminated in 2027, which presents a unique opportunity of checking out the resort and the area without making any long term commitment. Please be aware that we intend to continue going to Puerto Vallarta as able and will continue with our current situation if no one cares to purchase our contract. We are exploring a sale only due to retirement and airfare costs. Thanks for reviewing this.
