Rockland Lake State Park, located just 25 miles north of New York City in the Hudson Valley, features two 18-hole golf courses--one a championship course, the other, an executive course. The championship course is a true test of golfing skills. The tight, tree-lined fairways and rolling terrain lead to elevated greens. There are only 37 bunkers on the course, but all are well-placed. The par 3s are long and difficult.All the holes on the executive course are par 3s and vary in length from 110 yards to 213 yards. Driving range mats are used for teeing surfaces. This course provides a good test of skill to brush up on your short game. The park also has two Olympic-size swimming pools, six tennis courts and picnic areas. Visitors can fish, boat or hike the available trails, which are also used by cross-country skiers in winter.
