Our course provides many challenges. We boast target sized greens which reward good iron shots and make missed shots very challenging to produce par.
It was developed into an eighteen hole golf course in 1969. Also over time, Hacker's Lounge and the grant banquet hall have received updates, improvements, and renovations. Currently, Hacker's Lounge, renovated in November 2009, features a full-service bar, six large high definition televisions with a full DirecTV sports package, a jukebox and billiards.
The 18-hole championship course, designed by Dick Wilson, opened for play in 1963. The course is maintained with bermuda grass and overseeded in late October with rye grass to tees and fairways and poa trivialis on the greens. The playing conditions have been second to none in the area during the past five years with plans to continue this trend.
This not too difficult course is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including deer, pigs, wild cats, and a variety of birds. This picturesque course is loaded with the natural beauty of the surrounding countryside. Water hazards (twenty ponds) come into play on at least seven holes.
Inviting park highlights include pristine beach, dunes and lagoon offering sanctuary to an abundant blend of plants and animals. Year-round recreation includes fishing, boating, surfing, sunbathing, swimming, hiking, camping, nature and historical trails.
