At Port Chicago Naval Magazine, 320 men were instantly killed when the munitions ships they were loading with ammunition for the Pacific theatre troops blew up. Paradise Valley Country Club has become a legacy homestead to the town of Paradise Valley, AZ. Designed by Bob Baldock, the course is flat with undulating fairways. It is a fairly wide open layout that plays long. There are OB`s, water hazards, trees and bunkers to avoid. The bermuda grass turf combined with underlying delta sand offers incredible drainage and instant playability no matter how drenching the winter rains. There are no cart paths except by the greens because they are not needed.
