An Ideal Mix of Comfort and Nature 

This four-bedroom home is completely furnished and large enough to satisfy the needs of just about any family, with a full kitchen, newly remodeled bathroom, washer/dryer and cable TV. The outdoor pool is a spring-fed, natural pool uniquely created to adapt to the natural surroundings, but also temperature-controlled using special flow control techniques to bring the water temperature to the upper 70s during the summer months. 

This country home is within walking distance of over 100 acres of land and great for tossing in a fishing line into the pond close by. This 150ft x 200ft pond is fed by fresh mountain spring water and stocked with Brown Brokie and Rainbow Trout – perfectly set up for an entertaining day of “catching”. The policy for trout fishing is “keep what you can eat during your stay and have fun throwing the rest back”, which keeps the area well stocked for new visitors.   

The property is also tailored to small and big game hunting, as corn buck wheat and winter wheat is planted on 10 acres of the surrounding private land, along with three additional ponds. This wooded area is kept as a hunting preserve for visitors to look for bear, deer, turkey and small game.

Penn State football fans are really in luck, as the close proximity to State College means you can relax at our Pennsylvania mountain retreat and attend the big game – so make a football weekend out of your stay.

Explore the nearby lakes and State Parks which will give you even more reasons to visit this delightful region.  Glendale Lake, which can be accessed through Prince Gallitzin State Park, is open to boating and fishing, with a beach open during the summer months and ice fishing permitted during the winter. There are also 12 miles of trails open for hiking plus, in certain areas of the park, trails for mountain biking and snowmobiling. Try packing a picnic lunch – as there are over 1,000 picnic tables at the park.
