Lake Presidential Golf Club, which opened in 2008, was the first new publicly-playable course to open in the region in a couple of years. The original layout was designed by Greg Norman, with significant alterations made to the final product. Five sets of tees give Lake Presidential a playing length of between 4,970 and 7230 yards. The course is located just off of Route 301 between Bowie and Upper Marlboro.

Hampshire Greens opened to the public in June of 1999. It features bentgrass from tee to green, including the fairways. The course is fair, yet challenging, from all four sets of tees--it approaches 6,900 yards from the tips and is just over 5,000 yards from the forward tees.

The Bowie Golf Course, located on the north side within the City limits of Bowie, Md., is an 18-hole golf course with mature trees lining each fairway.
