    Review:
This resort is tucked back in the smoky Mountains, surrounded by national park, not developments! They have a new lazy river and outdoor pool, two restaurants, a general store, and don't forget the Fontana Dam and lake! You can still drive over the dam, where the famous Appalachian trail also crosses over. Hike a little, swim and fish, rent a boat, and enjoy life away from cell phones! In the winter, it's so quiet you can hear the snow fall. The perfect place to hide away, write that book, or just sleep in. The member villas have fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs. Full kitchens, and room for family reunions. Members can use their points for week long bookings of cabins, or book two cabins for family to come for a long weekend. No other resort does this that I know of. Memberships are no longer sold, so if you want one, you should buy ones offered on this site.

    Review:
This resort is close to the Whitewater Center and to Cherokee casino, but since it is surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, it will always stay out of reach of over development. The lake, 23 miles long, is the largest man made lake east of the Rockies. Fontana has horseback riding, an updated marina with boat rentals, even a house boat. It has a new outdoor pool and lazy river. There are miles of walking and bike trails, Olympians train at the whitewater center and bikers and car enthusiasts ride the famous "Tail of the Dragon". The number one rated sports road in the US that is a regularly used highway between TN and NC. The resort also has a floating dance floor. The resort has also been featured in films made in the area. "Nell" and "A Walk in the Woods". With new owners, and new general manager, new updates continue. Buy now, before the updates are finished and prices go up! They use a point system so you can book a week or several long weekends! Who else has that ?
