Disney's Animal Kingdom Villa is the eighth timeshare offering from Disney's Vacation Club. The most interesting aspect about this timeshare is its still under development and real estate interest in this timeshare is still being offered. If you buy this timeshare, not only are you investing in a Disney property, but you're also investing in memories for a lifetime! The first phase of this Disney timeshare is scheduled to open in the fall of 2007, followed by a series of phases to continue throughout 2008 upon completion in 2009. This timeshare will carry an African safari type theme, paying great attention and intricate detail to the art and culture of the Africa. It is estimated there will be over 450 villas upon completion in 2009.

The timeshare villas will be split up into two properties, the Jambo House, or Kidani Village. While the rooms will vary among accommodations; they will be similar in their offerings. Studio, One Bedroom Vacation Homes, Two Bedroom Vacation Homes, as well as the Grande Villa Vacation Homes are all options that timeshare owners will get to choose from. One main difference between the Jambo House and Kidani Village is that the Grande Villa Vacation Homes are only one story at the Jambo House, while they are two stories at Kidani Village. Timeshare owners can expect amenities in all the rooms to be on par with most Disney timeshares.

While this timeshare is still under construction, Disney has listed many of the options and resort benefits they expect to be available to all Disney Vacation Club owners. Uzima pool featuring a 67 foot slide and two spas is expected to be available to timeshare owners by 2009. Next to the pool will be the Hakuna Matata playground. This playground will be open 24 hours a day, and is sure to bring joy to your children as they run, slide, and climb around. After tiring themselves out on the playground, your kids can head on over to Pumbaa's Fun & Games Arcade. This arcade offers old fashioned pinball and the newest and most popular games around. Timeshare owners may also take advantage of the on-site fitness center Zahanati Massage and Fitness Center. Treat your wife to a facial or full body massage while you get in a work out on the latest and greatest gym equipment. After a long day of fun and activities, you may want to enjoy a night out with your significant other. If you have children, feel free to drop them off at Simba's Clubhouse. Children ages 4-12 are welcome, and they better be ready for a fun filled night of games, activities, food, and movies. While the children are busy, head out to sample some fine cuisine and vibrant flavors of African food. There are many restaraunts and bars for timeshare owners to sample from. There are a few more bars and eateries scheduled to open in 2009 when Kidani Village opens. Along with these restuarants, there are many other amenities that are scheduled to open in concession with the opening of Kidani Village. Some of the main attractions that could be tempting to potential timeshare owners are; tennis, basketball, and shuffleboard courts. Barbeque Pavilions are going to be available to those timeshare owners looking to get some fresh air and enjoy some good old fashioned barbeque. Another pool named Samawati Springs Pool, featuring a 128 foot water slide is also in the plans. Another play area appropriately named Uwanja Camp will feature such things elevated rope bridges, geyser jets, and waterfall lagoons. This play area will be split off into 3 age specific areas. Another arcade, fitness center and spa, as well as the Johari Treasures gift shop are also scheduled to open. There are many more innovative and exciting amenities that are still in the works.
