Lake Geneva Timeshare

When deciding to visit Wisconsin, there are loads of reasons to visit Lake Geneva. Originally popular among those from neighboring states, it became more popular with visitors across the country over the years as it grew into a large resort community. Known as the home of the first Playboy Resort, that same resort is still open but now operates under a different name. Multiple nearby resorts make it easy to find a Lake Geneva timeshare with amenities such as a full kitchen and one or more bedrooms. You just need to get an idea of some of the things you can do near your timeshare.

Pumpkin Drop and More

One of the top reasons why people visit Lake Geneva is for the annual Pumpkin Drop and Fall Festival. Thousands of people come out to drop their pumpkins and beat the competition. At Frights and Fun Fest, you can see how far you get before you run away in fear from the masked characters who jump out. The Lake Geneva Electric Christmas Parade features dozens of floats and people marching through the streets. You might enjoy the Winter Carnival too, which takes place at the Grand Geneva Resort and includes massive fireworks displays.

Experience Lake Geneva Outside

With a Lake Geneva timeshare, you can take a tour of the city via the Lake Geneva Shore Path. It runs around the lake and lets you view some of the historic estates and gorgeous landscapes nearby as you walk for more than 20 miles. Summer is the best time to check out the local beaches, including Williams Bay Beach and Riviera Beach. Both let you rent small crafts to take onto the water and have spots for relaxing, swimming and fishing. Big Foot Beach State Park is another popular hot spot. The Grand Geneva Resort boats two golf courses: The Brute and The Highlands. If you come in the winter, you can go skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding and cross country skiing.

When You Want to Stay Indoors

You can have just as much fun indoors at attractions such as the Geneva Lake Museum and East Troy Railroad Museum. You can also tour Ten Chimneys, which is a former estate owned by Broadway actors Lynn Fontanne and Alfred Lunt, that is now open to the public. With a Lake Geneva timeshare, you can hit the museums and then book an evening cruise on the lake for later that night.
