Olalla Valley Golf Course was constructed in the mid 60's and offers a woodland style golfing experience with a year round creek winding it's way around and across 7 of the 9 hill laden holes. The course reaches 6200 yards from the back tees, yet offers more challenge in the placement of shots and the uneven lies prevalent throughout the terrain. This is a course that challenges you to excel and leaves you with a feeling of achievement when you complete a round. Olalla Valley rests a half mile off highway 20 just a mile outside the mill town of Toledo and 6 miles inland from the coastal town of Newport. The slightly inland location gives a little respite from the often chilly coastal winds and cool air. The course itself rests in a slight valley making the winds often predictable and the weather temperate. The course is playable year round, although the clay based greens can swing between hard in the summer and soft in the winter.
