    Review:
IT HAS BEEN OUR PRACTICE TO TAKE OUR VACATION DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. USUALLY OUR WINTERS ARE NOT SEVERE. JUST COLD AT TIMES. WE GO UP TO DO ALL OUR SHOPPING FOR CHRISTMAS. TTHE FIRST DAYS ARE SPENT DECIEDING WHO TO GIVE PRESENTS TO, AND WHAT TO BUY.
WE LIVE ABOUT 4 HOURS FROM THE RESORT AND HAVE NOT ALWAYS BEEN THERE AT THE ESTIMATIMATED TIME OF ARRIVAL, WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY DIFFICULTY DUE TO THIS AND THE STAFF IS ALWAYS READY AND WILLING TO ACCOMODATE OUR NEEDS. THE PLACE IS ALWAYS CLEAN AND SUPPLIED AS EXPECTED. ALTHOUGH MOST OF THE UNITS ARE NEXT TO EACH OTHER THERE IS A SENSE OF PRIVACY DUE TO NOT HEARING THE NEIGHBORS. THE CLUB HOUSE AND THE OTHER AMENITIES ARE ALWAYS KEPT CLEAN AND IN GOOD SHAPE.
THE AREA AROUND THE RESORT HAS NUMEROUS LITTLE TOWNS WITH SMALL STORES AND SHOPS. AS LONG AS WE HAVE BEEN GOING THERE I KNOW WE HAVE NOT SEEN ALL THE TOWNS, SHOPES AND OTHER SIGHTS. SAN ANTONIO IS ONLY ABOUT 30 MINUTES AWAY AND THE LARGE MALL THERE HAS A LOT TO OFFER. THAT IS GOING SOUTH, NORTH THERE ARE THE OUTLET MALLS IN SAN MARCOS AND AUSTIN FURTHER UP THE ROAD IF YOU WANT. USUALLY THE DAY STARTS WITH A SHORT DRIVE TO NEW BRAUNFELS WHERE WE EAT BREAKFAST, USUALLY AT "LOS DOS GALLOS" WHERE THEY HAVE THE LARGEST TACOS I HAVE EVER SEEN. SOME SHOPPING IN NEW BRAUNFELS OR GO TO SAN ANTONIO.
THE PLAN IS TO RETURN IN TIME FOR AN AFTERNNOON MOVIE, BEFORE SUPPER, WHICH WE USUALLY EAT IN GRUEN A OLD GERMAN TOURIST TOWN WITH VARIOUS RESTRAUNTS AND SHOPS. THE CHALLANGE IS TO KEEP FROM EATING TO OFTEN AND TOO MUCH. WHEN OUR KIDS WERE YOUNG WE STAYED AROUND THE RESORT AND TOOK ADVANTAGER OF THE POOL AND THE GAMES FOR THE KIDS. WE WOULD BUY GROCERIES AND TAKE MOST OF THE MEALS IN HOUSE, THIS WAY THE KIDS WOULD HAVE LONGER PERIODS TO SPEND IN THE POOL OR PLAYING GAMES, THEY NEVER GOT TIREED.
OUR DREAM WAS TO PASS THIS RESORT ON TO THEM WHEN WE PASSED. WE HAVE A SON AND A DAUGHTER, OUR DAUGHTER IS DISABLED NO CHANCE OF RECOVERING FULLY CAN NOT AND DOES NOT WANT IT, AND MY SON IS NOT INTERESTED EITHER.
WE BOTH HAVE RETIRED NOW AND OUR HEALTH IS SUCH THAT TRAVEL IS TOO DIFFICULT AT TIMES, SO WE ARE SELLING IT. AS LONG AS WE WERE WORKING AND HEALTHY IT WAS A GREAT PLACE TO GET AWAY AND RELAX.
WE HAVE BEEN TO THE RESORT IN CONROE, TEXAS AND THE ONE NEAR TYLER TEXAS NAD BOTH THOUGH DIFFERENT WERE ALSO VERY GOOD AND I RECOMENED THEM BOTH. THE ONE IN TYLER HAS A SMALL WATER BUILT ON SITE THAT IS REALLY GREAT IF YOU HAVE KIDS.
