"A golf course without interesting greens is almost defenseless because of todays technology," says Nicklaus II. "The subtle changes in green elevations and creating small pin placements within the green allow us to put some teeth back in the golf course. The course also has a lot of natural elements. There were a number of pockets of large oak trees we were able to use in the look and strategy."
This is a very well-maintained executive course that is constantly receiving new course renovations. Most holes have tree-lined fairways and the terrain is slightly hilly. Water hazards come into play on at least four holes. The average-sized greens vary in undulation and their speed is determined by the seasonal weather conditions.

This is an executive course where the greens are tough and challenging. The fairways are tree lined and both open and narrow in width. It is not a forgiving course, though it is short. This public course is on the Caloosahatchee River, which is as wide as a bay and empties into the Gulf. There are families of eagles that nest in the trees on the course.
This club offers three nine hole courses that can be played in three eighteen hole combinations. The terrain is nestled among 31,000 acres of rolling hills and beautiful countryside. The River and Lakes courses feature water hazards on sixteen of their eighteen holes while the newest nine holes, the Woods Course, incorporates four ponds into the design. This course has plenty of palm trees lining its fairways, and water hazards (fifteen ponds) come into play on every hole. The greens and tee boxes are all slightly elevated. Additionally, the large greens are well bunkered and undulating. The signature hole is #6, a 421-yard, par 4, featuring a dogleg left fairway and an elevated green.
Olde Hickory has a par-72 golf course designed by Ron Garl and it was built in 1992. It plays 6,601 yards from the tips. There is little rough but much wetland areas. The well-maintained greens are large and undulating. The signature hole is #17, a 185-yard par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to an island green.

The small greens are somewhat sloped, and some of them are elevated. The signature hole is #16, a 176-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to a rock-banked green. The Mirror Lakes Course is much longer than the North Course, but it is more forgiving and has wider fairways. There are only a few trees that come into play on this course, and the greens are somewhat sloped and average in speed.
