Club Paihia is a private 5 star timeshare resort, located at Paihia in the subtropical Bay of Islands in the north of New Zealand. The resort is nestled on a hillside in native bush about half a kilometer back from the main commercial block, wharf and village green at Paihia. It contains 54 units, of studios, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments. Site facilities include a swimming pool complex, tennis court, numerous spa pools, BBQ areas, lounge, playground for children, bicycles, orchard house and forest board-walk, and an onsite tour advisory and booking service. Set in the majestic scenery of the Bay of Islands, amid six-and-a-half acres of beautiful native bush, it is just minutes away from the township of Paihia, sheltered beaches, a golf course, and opportunities for bushwalks, pleasure cruises, and big-game fishing that have made the Bay of Islands famous throughout the world. Vacationers will enjoy visiting the historic Treaty House, wandering the streets of Russell, or relaxing on one of hundreds of beaches in the region. There's no shortage of things to do.

Although the unit was only one bedroom, the grandchildren (8 yrs & 10 yrs) enjoyed the novelty of sleeping on a bed-settee in the lounge. Their days were filled with swimming, playing tennis and riding bikes, all part of the resorts facilities. They enjoyed the 6 km easy walk from the Waitangi Treaty Grounds to Haruru Falls and a little further to the shops for a meal of fresh fish and fried chips with an ice cream to follow. It is their favorite holiday place with their Grandparents.
