The men and women of the armed forces work hard to keep our county safe. While time spent away from work is time spend away from the battlefield, American veterans rarely get to spend a furlough in the very luxuries they fight to protect.
BuyATimeshare.com is working alongside ATFT Foundation and Timeshares For Vets to provide Freedom R&R. As a sign of appreciation for their contribution to our nation’s freedom, the program is to provide our military veterans with a vacation at a timeshare resort of their choice.

In late 2008, ATFT Foundation partnered with Timeshares For Vets to provide our returning veterans and families with an opportunity alleviate the stress and trauma of their services with a much deserved vacation.
BuyATimeshare.com has joined the Freedom R&R program to accept donated timeshares, getting the donations sold and the funds given to the foundation. This will help provide the much needed revenue for the travel costs for the program. Thanks to TFT helping to provide a much needed service for our returning veterans. Currently soldiers and their families are scheduled to go to some great locations. Coming up is a Las Vegas, Nevada, South Florida and South Lake Tahoe, California, Glacier, Washington, and Klamath Falls, Oregon.
Applications are being filled at a steady pace. We need more timeshares! If you or anyone you know has an unused timeshare share please let them know they can help support and thank our troops and returning veterans with the ATFT Foundation’s Freedom R & R’s program with Timeshares For Vets and BuyATimeshare.com. The timeshare industry has brought us affordable vacationing and access to the world’s finest luxury resorts. Recent straits in the U.S economy however, have triggered companies to pare staff by the thousand. Unemployment has grown to 7.2 percent nationally. In the aftermath of a tough credit market, top brands in the hospitality industry have shed sales departments and are in the process of scaling down.

Due to an increase in the demand for selling and renting timeshares, the resale market is witnessing a boom. Consumers are finding affordable vacationing during economic hardship and owners are getting their timeshares sold. Contrary to current conditions, BuyATimeshare.com has employment opportunities during a companywide upgrade.

The New Hampshire-based timeshare reseller and marketing firm, BuyATimeshare.com owners Wes Kogelman and Jason Hamilton grew up in the granite state and want to offer a legitimate solution for individuals looking to sell or rent their timeshare properties.

Kogelman stated “We have the most aggressive marketing program to bring buyers and seller of timeshare properties together; we’ve shown success with all timeshare properties throughout the world and want to offer people a risk free way to sell or rent their timeshare properties.”

As a vacation property ownership can bring years of affordable vacationing, likewise they can become a liability. While annual maintenance fees pile up for some owners, others are unable to even enjoy their vacation property year after year. A growing number of people are liquidating assets and scurrying to pay their inflated home mortgages, BuyATimeshare.com has created the resale marketplace on their website to help in your efforts.

This is a significant tool in a world driven by internet technology. More and more owners cannot afford, do not use, or are just looking to sell or rent their vacation properties. “We’ve listened to our consumers and want to do everything possible to help. We are providing a month of proven risk free worldwide exposure,” Kogelman said.

In today’s economy, BuyATimeshare.com is looking to help however it can. The company’s founders are offering an inexpensive route to worldwide exposure. Those who want to get money for their timeshare, or are just looking to secure a timeshare without the inflated price at the resort, can enjoy the for-sale-by-owner benefits at BuyATimeshare.com.

With a strategic alliance with the Family of Orange Lake Resorts in Florida, InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) continues its global expansion. IHG, trying their luck at the billion-dollar timeshare industry, has created Holiday Inn Club Vacations. This will be yet another family of resorts to be added to the BuyATimeshare.com register. At BuyATimeshare.com, a marriage like this will only add to our marketing extensive inventory of world renowned brands—for thousands of dollars less than the developer.

The Orange Lake’s flagship Resort & Country Club in Orlando, Florida will be the first resort converted. It is scheduled to be ready for December of 2008 under the Holiday Inn Club Vacations brand. This impressive property offers 2,412 villas on a beautifully appointed 1,400-acre site next to Walt Disney World. Soon Holiday Inn Club Vacations will convert the remaining Orange Lake Resorts in Ascutney, Vermont; Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; and Panama City, Florida. Orange Lake Resorts will still be owned and operated by the Wilson family, founders of the Holiday Inn brand.

IHG has made other aggressive moves in recent weeks, including endeavors in Costa Rica, Vietnam, India, Ecuador, and will soon take over two hotels in Wuhan, China. While other companies are waiting for a more amiable economic environment to make a move, IHG is bounding into the timeshare market. This latest venture coincides with the $1billion relaunch and rebranding of 3,200 IHG’s Holiday Inn Hotels, with completions scheduled for end of 2010.

Within a few years, you can expect to see Holiday Inn Club Vacations for sale by owner on the resale market. BuyATimeshare.com offers numerous Orange Lake Resorts packages, and we are looking forward to advertising IHG resorts from all over the world—with no commission, no broker fees, and no sales pressure.

Brokers Buy A Timeshare Too September 9, 2008

Lately brokers have been stepping up to the resale industry by shopping the BuyATimeshare.com website. For the past two months brokers have increased the use of our extensive inventory and are buying properties by the throng. Often they have numerous clients and have exhausted their own supply. BuyATimeshare.com, a leader in the timeshare resale industry, comes to the rescue. This relationship gives our clients the superior advertising they need, and coupled with brokers’ buying power; we have been making record sales every month for close to a year.

Many brokers and timeshare skeptics claim that timeshare resales are too complex for advertising to successfully work—but we really help each other. At Buyatimeshare.com we make sure your timeshare is seen by millions of potential buyers worldwide, when a broker makes a bid, we negotiate to get you the most, make sure your timeshare becomes a sold listing. In the past two months we can attribute over $178,640.00 worth of Marriott sales and over $213,000.00 worth of WorldMark sales by brokers alone.

Not only do we offer a listing in multiple domains, but we are the only company in the industry to have developed a Buyer Specialists department. These dedicated professionals are available to answer questions and guide buyers through the process. We have also employed a LiveChat option, for folks to discuss any questions or concerns they have along the way.

With the most extensive inventory of vacation properties in the industry, we can work with the broker so you don’t have to. BuyATimeshare.com allows you the chance to sell your valuable timeshare for what you want, instead of the lowest bid a broker will offer. There is commission to consider as well—with a broker charging upwards of 10% of the original cost. So, if you sell a $20,000.00 timeshare, you are liable to be charged $2,000.00. An advertising fee is nominal compared to the percentage brokers take. BuyATimeshare.com deals with these professionals anyway—so would you trade an upfront fee for a hefty commission, or would you rather keep the equity for yourself?

Bluegreens Intent to Sell Diamonds Intent to Buy August 5, 2008

In the beginning weeks of July, Bluegreen Corporation had been examining the feasibility of selling itself to a new owner. Recently Diamond Resorts LLC had stepped up to the plate and proposed a nonbinding letter of intent to acquire Bluegreen at $15 a share, or about $500million. But the transaction is not complete yet, and Diamond’s ability to finance such an endeavor seems to be the only question mark in the way.

Alan B. Levan, chairman of Bluegreen Corp, stated the company had been considering options for the next three to five years. “…When Diamond presented our board with this unsolicited, attractive offer, we believed that it was in the best interest of our shareholders to pursue this transaction at this time.” Levan is also chairman and chief executive of Woodbridge Holdings Corp, which owns 9.5 million shares of Bluegreen stock; he indicated that Woodbridge would also back the proposed deal.

Bluegreen is a top brand that markets flexible real estate-based timeshares and vacation ownerships, they provide access to over 40 resorts as well as an exchange network of over 3,700 resorts, cruises and hotel stays. In recent quarters Bluegreen reported that revenues fell to $111.3million, due to weaker home-site sales—their net income also slipped to $1.4million from $5.3million this time last year.

Owners of Bluegreen points may be facing some of the same issues Sunterra owners ran into after April of 2007 when Diamond Resorts bought the timeshare heavyweight for about $750million. Though current Bluegreen owners will gain access to Diamond properties, they will probably be required to upgrade their points to Diamond points—for a nominal fee of course. Diamond has been buying up rivals to become one of the world’s largest vacation ownership companies. It now boasts 110 branded and affiliated resorts in 14countries in the Americas, Hawaii and Europe, with more than 360,000 owners.

Even though vacation ownership and residential sales have dropped considerably (28.4%) at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, one of Bluegreen’s main competitors, Diamond is proceeding with extensive due diligence until early September 2008 to buy Bluegreen. This will allow Diamond to investigate the details of the potential investment, such as examinations of operations and management.

Though the letter of intent stated the acquisition is subject to the completion of due diligence and the execution of definitive agreements, Diamond said it was “confident that it will be able to raise the financing necessary to consummate the proposed transaction.” This may be a wise purchase for Diamond, since the timeshare industry has been a steady force during tough economic times—however; financing continues to be the biggest question mark surrounding the deal.

BuyATimeshare.com, the leading timeshare resale company in the world, is closely following the progress of this transaction. We have an extensive inventory of Bluegreen and Diamond properties for sale and rent, priced thousands of dollars less than developers will. If you are interested in buying a timeshare at any brand resort, BuyATimeshare.com can help; will no broker fees, no commission or appraisal fees, and absolutely no sales pressure!

BuyATimeshare.Com Raises funds for Child Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County-South April 29, 2008

The New Hampshire-based Child Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County-South (CAC-HCS) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving and protecting victims of child abuse. Working to strengthen families and the community, a team of multi-disciplinary professionals in law-enforcement, prosecution, child protection, health care, and education all strive to support victims of abuse, as well as prosecuting the offenders.

Nationally collected data reveals that one in four girls and one in six boys will be sexually assaulted—and only one in ten will disclose their abuse. This statistic is unacceptable and is what motivates the members of CBM-Cares, a not-for-profit organization that is operated by business leaders and professionals in Southern New Hampshire. Working to plan fundraisers and events, CBM-Cares helps to educate people and to contribute to other organizations such as the CAC-HCS. This group truly serves a just cause, and they benefit greatly from any help the community can provide.

On Friday, April 11, 2008 The CAC-HCS hosted “an enchanted evening of music and magic” to raise funds for this noble effort. In addition to dinner and entertainment, a silent auction was held. Up for bidding were such prizes as Red Sox tickets provided by Edward Smith, President of College Bound Movers & Granite Clover Self Storage, also various gift baskets packed with merchandise, and by www.BuyATimeshare.com’s president Wes Kogelman, a stay at a luxurious timeshare and a pair of round-trip airline tickets to Las Vegas, Nevada. All proceeds went to keep these Child Advocacy Centers operational. Kogelman has been supporting not-for-profit organizations like the CAC-HCS for over 5 years. “This is a great group of people trying to help children who have been assaulted in any way” said Kogelman. “This benefit, put on by the Children Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County-South, is a great way to help raise funds for this cause.” As a board member for CBM-Cares Kogelman has also helped to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Hampshire, and the Boys and Girls Club of Souhegan Valley.

The Nashua campus is the second Child Advocacy Center to open nationally. Serving hundreds of children from ages 3 to 17, these centers provide a neutral setting for joint investigations and interviews, as well as community agencies for children and families. CBM-Cares helped raise over $5,000.00 dollars in one night, and all proceeds from this gala went to the Manchester and Nashua CACs.

Such generous funding is needed to keep these sanctuaries operational, regularly providing consultation and specialized training for hundreds of families. All Child Advocacy Centers provide children and their families with crucial services at no cost to them. Of the eight CACs in New Hampshire the statewide economic and social benefits are proof of the success these centers have been.
Reports indicate that the “typical” child abuse case investigation through a non-CAC method costs the county approximately $4,221.00. The same case, with help from a Child Advocacy Center, would cost the county $2,900.00. In the first three months of 2006 these centers saved the state of NH $86,000.00. Since opening in 2004, CAC-HCS has seen more than 650 children, saved the county approximately $854,100.00 in child abuse investigation.

Providing shelter, counseling, and police action is no small order. But the CAC-HCS has reduced the trauma experienced by children, and has helped non-offending parents become empowered to protect and support their children. Today, allegations of abuse and neglect are thoroughly investigated—more offenders are held accountable, and the community is better educated about the problem of child abuse.

Timeshare Resale, More Popular Than Ever April 22, 2008

Posted by Bryan Connelly in : ARDA, Customer Comments, Donate a Timeshare, General, News & Events, RCI, Timeshare Rental, Timeshare Resale, Timeshare Resource, Travel, Uncategorized , add a comment

Buying a timeshare property on the resale market is becoming much more popular. Though this secondary market is still in its infancy, the service, prices, options and benefits outweigh any vacation property for sale on the primary market—anywhere. Buyatimeshare.com is fast-becoming a household name amongst those who are serious about buying, renting, and selling their timeshares.

Around the world there are nearly 10million members of timeshare clubs and demand for vacation property is growing. Many of those people succumbed to a timeshare developer and underwent their infamous sales presentations. Many of these folks where not even in the market to buy, and often did so due to high-pressure sales pitches.
There are a number of people who feel as if they were taken advantage of—finding nothing but disappointment when it finally comes to converting points/weeks into vacation. Often claiming salespeople used misleading tactics. However, timeshare can be a very cost effective vacation option. An RCI affiliation can get you into an apartment for $200.00 for an entire week, compared to some hotels who charge that per night.

Some people would rather the question free reliability of a hotel, after experiencing sub par service or dishonest sales representatives. But these representatives are not the problem, nor are their methods. Essentially it is your responsibility to read and understand what you sign. That is typically what we deal with at Vacation Property Resales. Our deals and services are not too good to be true. Plenty of people have come to us and wondered “what’s the catch?” Having been burned by many fraudulent salespeople, the timeshare industry is not like that. Though many people choose companies like Holiday Club to be the face of a deceitful industry, the truth is that all resorts operate the same way. They want you to buy their product, and if they convince you that their “points” are worth your hard earned cash, then it is hardly their fault if you buy into this. But the saying still stands, if it sounds too good to be true—it probably is.

The resale market can rescue you. We have customers who have dealt with aggressive and unscrupulous sales tactics before. They have been tricked and have wasted their money; their investment has turned to a liability. Why sit through a 45minute (2-3 hour) presentation when you can simply browse our web page at your leisure? With hundreds of properties priced to sell, there are no sales people interviewing and trying to be your best friend, no false promises or any inflated prices to deal with.

Always read the contract and beware of hidden fees, often subject to change without notification. There will most always be an annual maintenance fee. Finally, research the location and resort before buying… perhaps rent before you commit to a purchase. Timeshares can be ideal for vacation-goers who plan and book travel arrangements well in advance. Make sure the amenities, services, and timeframe is everything you and your family are looking for.

The points and properties listed on buyatimeshare.com are for-sale-by-owner, aggressively priced to sell for a fraction of what it would cost on the primary market. Our skilled and professional staff is ready to help you rent, buy, or sell a timeshare with no appraisal fees, no commission, no broker fees, and no sales pressure!

Vacation Property Resales has always been committed to helping people save thousands of dollars when buying their timeshares. We have sold thousands of vacation properties and have been encompassing all aspects of timeshare services for a decade. Buying, renting, and selling your timeshare property has never been easier!

Over the years there have been a number of changes and upgrades to our website—helping people to better utilize the buyatimeshare.com website. Recently, such upgrades have made Vacation Property Resales a leading name in the timeshare resales industry. Our customizable programs make certain that the timeshare you buy is everything you and your family truly wanted. Currently we are the first and only in the business to allow consumers the ability to sort advertisements by price, by length of time on the website, and by the amount of points attached to the property. On the cutting edge of marketing and advertising technology, our new search options are aimed at serious buyers and renters who have realized the ease of navigating online from the comfort of their own homes.

Another new aspect of the website is highlighting properties making their debut on buyatimeshare.com. Highlighted for five days, this emphasizes that these are new to the market and ready to sell. Of the various tools available to consumers, none promise more exposure than “Featured properties,” and “Hot Deals.” Featured properties maximize publicity by listing them at the top of the ad page, regardless of search criteria—featured properties are always on top. These properties are typically larger ads, attracting more viewers per day than any other.

Also to maximize exposure, owners looking to sell their properties will choose to list them as Hot Deals! These are shown down the right side of the homepage, and load 5 at a time, cycling through every 10 seconds. This gives twice the exposure to buyers, reaching vacation-goers before they even search the Vacation Property Resales database. Such instant results are only possible at buyatimeshare.com, dedicated to linking potential buyers with motivated sellers.
Even those on the most modest budget can find themselves affordable timeshare(s). Everyone will save thousands of dollars buying on the resale market—but it is our “Smokin’ Deals” that display all of the listings aggressively priced $5,000.00 and below. From Mexico to Florida, you can find the same assortment as you would with our most expensive properties listed.

Buyatimeshare.com is the first in the industry to allow consumers to tailor their search. “Timeshare Pulse,” an innovative new program has been designed to help buyers and renters specify exactly what they are looking for. Enter precise information about the timeshare(s) you want to rent or buy and all advertisements that match the profile will be shown. Furthermore, any new advertisements that are entered into our system will be immediately emailed to you. Buying or renting a timeshare has never been easier!
