Rigorous construction is underway at the Massanutten Resort in McGaheysville, Virginia. A popular resort on the resale market, the construction was initiated by year round residents living intermingled with timeshare owners and renters. BuyATimeshare.com has been providing timeshare solutions for vacationers looking for a piece of majestic Virginia.

In the name of security, noise complaints and parking issues, The Rockingham County Board of Supervisors approved the request to allow more buildings. The new suites will be used for upcoming timeshare ownerships and the construction has been moving along quickly.

Mak Koebig is a Vice President with Great Eastern Resort Corporation which owns Massanutten Resorts. “We wanted to be able to show people that there is activity out here, that there is a project ongoing and I think we’ll be successful at that” Koebig explains. Residents are optimistic that this will keep vacationers separate from the neighborhoods and offer a new building for tourists to enjoy.

BuyATimeshare.com has been the provider of an extensive array of Massanutten and Great Eastern Resorts for a decade. The inventory available to you on the timeshare resale market can secure the finest suites for over 50% less than what the resort will charge.

It is all too common for folks to be lured to a timeshare presentation with promises of free trips or a car, or something. You too may own a timeshare because of a sales presentation and some gift you were promised.

Buyatimeshare.com is typically approached by couples who need help finding someone to buy the vacation property they often couldn’t afford in the first place. Salesmen often pitch the highest prices packages that are, with options that are too complex for any novice to understand. Over the past few years a growing number of people have been coming forward with stories of how they were passed up the ranks until a signature as finally pried from them.

On the other hand, folks who have dealt with their share of “tours” enjoy their timeshares and continue to use them everyday. A thriving marketplace of buyers are looking to the internet to find the best prices rather than paying upwards of $30,000.
BuyATimeshare.com is poised at the top of all search engines to find these potential buyers and renters.

Not just do we offer the best advertising online, but we interact with buyers to answer questions and verify the offer is from a serious buyer/renter before bringing it to the owners’ attention.

The developers, in such tough economic times, will secure any sale to move inventory and “make sales.” However, by closing these sales, that are destine to default, the salesmen are stripping this inventory of value! Closing these signatures NOW as a sales tactic is illustrated perfectly by the dramatic drop in all Asset Back Securities in the timeshare sector of hospitality.

BuyATimeshare.com exists to repair this reckless salesmanship. We work help those who want out of the timeshare they were often sold while looking for the free trip they were promised. The timeshare concept is something to be enjoyed. The extensive inventory at BuyATimeshare.com has been fueling affordable vacations for a decade, at sought after resorts around the world.

Awesome Business! Awesome People! Awesome Place to Work! June 5, 2009

A letter from one of our Customer Service Representatives Karen Content:

I have been working for BuyATimeshare.com in the New Hampshire office for 3 years now. I began only months after the owner Wes Kogelman established this office once moving back from Tampa, Florida to his native state.

It was after listing my timeshare property for sale with BuyATimeshare.com that I got this job. One of the sales representatives was so friendly that we got to talking about new openings. When I went in to apply he welcomed me aboard, and 3 years later there I am still here.

When I started at the NH office there were about 7 employees including Wes himself who trained me personally. Over the years, out of the 7 people, the office has grown to more than 30 employees and there are still 3 of us “veterans” and doing a great job.

Today BuyATimeshare.com is comprised of dozens of talented people, not including the other office that Wes has established to house our Buyer Specialists, Rental Department, Brokers and Title company. The office manager Tim Bohn now sees over the weekly training sessions as the company has expanded over the years.

Coming from a background in banking, I never thought I would go into the timeshare resale industry. It’s amazing how big the resale business has become throughout the world and I am only a small part of it.

Wes Kogelman has developed this company into being the best reseller of timeshare in the world and I am lucky enough to be a part of that. He strives to better the business each and every day. He works one on one with each employee because he understands that each person has unique needs than their fellow coworkers and he accommodates wherever he can.

BuyATimeshare.com is an awesome company and an amazing place to work! The energy level in the office is incredible—everyone works together so well that when Wes and his office manager Tim Bohn need to be in the Tampa office, New Hampshire just runs itself! We know what we need to do to get the job done right!

FTC Cracking Down on Timeshare Company for “Robocalls” and DNC Violations June 5, 2009

Posted by dconnolly in : News & Events , 1 comment so far

With robocalls getting quite a bit of attention lately, it should not surprise anyone that there are timeshare-related companies using this practice to generate leads. For those who may not have ever experienced one of these so-called robocalls, it is a computer set to dial a list of phone numbers and when an unassuming person answers this call, there is a per-recorded message that plays that prompts the answerer to make a selection on the keypad of the telephone. For example, I could be sitting at home and answer a call and a pre-recorded message asks me if I am interested in buying or selling a timeshare. Press “1″ if you would like to sell, press “2″ if you want to buy and press “3″ if you do not own a timeshare. Many of these programs are set to call lists provided by a specific company, but others may just dial random number, akin to picking up a phone book and pointing to a number.

The FTC has been cracking down on this sort of phone marketing most recently with companies offering to extend auto warranties. According to tmcnet.com, Westgate is also under investigation for using this practice to generate leads of people interested  in buying a timeshare. The article goes on to say that Westgate purchased internet-generated leads from a company that gives away free products. The issue here is that many of these leads were also on the national DNC registry and due to a large amount of complaints, the FTC started investigating.

If you have received such “robocalls” and your phone number is not currently registered with the national DNC registry, you should register for this free service and report any future calls. If you are already registered, you may file a complaint on the website www.donotcall.gov

Marriott Vacation Club Owners Get Reward Program June 1, 2009

All Marriott Vacation Club Owners will now have access to the very successful Marriott Rewards. Timeshare Owners will now be entitled to Marriott’s Fifth Night Free Program. The program requires that the guest book a 5 night vacation and the 5th night will be free of charge.

The company is moving in a direction which will assign hotel category levels to the Marriott Vacation Club Timeshare Resorts. The Timeshares will be ranked in number categories (5,6, and 7) under the Marriott Rewards system. This level will determine how many points will be required for a 1 night say. Typically it will be 25,000; 30,000; or 35,000 points respectively. These will be based on a deluxe guest room and will depend on the ranking of the timeshare property. Obviously the higher end timeshare resorts or larger bedrooms will cost more points.

Bottom Dollar Sellers On Ebay and Craigslist May 29, 2009

For those timeshare owners looking to sell their timeshares for a decent return, understand that your fellow owners who post timeshares for sale on Ebay and Crigslist are doing you a disservice. The many owners who are adamant about not paying an ad fee and list their timeshares for sale on these sites, end up receiving  40% less on average than what they could retrieve from a reputable timeshare resale company like buyatimeshare.com. If this continues, these owners that are doing this are going to continually drive the market down. Ask any Wyndham owner who bought their 154,000 points for $20,000 and now they are only worth $1500 on the resale market. If you’re looking to sell your timeshare, do yourself a favor and do the research on a resale company and don’t do yourself and other owners a disservice.

Vacationing is still a priority for everyone; during 2009 saving money is more important. The timeshare rental program at BuyATimeshare.com has become increasingly popular to the millions of people looking to save thousands of dollars on their next vacation.

Consumers have not completely stopped spending, but we are all a lot more attentive to where our money goes. For ten years people have been renting their timeshares from BuyATimeshare.com. Recent economic turbulence has triggered over 40,000 timeshare owners to rent their properties, often paying the annual maintenance fees included with every resort.

This makes thousands of the most elegant suites on earth available for prices that are often less than a week at a standard hotel in any popular vacation destination. And while the credit market has yet to solidify, the amount of renters at BuyATimeshare.com has increased nearly 200% over May of 2008.
