IHG Opens New Orange Lake Timeshare Sales December 18, 2008

Most companies are shuffling about, cutting limbs just to stay afloat; while InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) announced this week after months of preparation, the official unveiling of Holiday Inn Club Vacations. Its first location at Orange Lake Resort in Orlando, Florida, is now accepting bids for timeshare ownership.
Current owners may find a bit extra during their next visit to Orange Lake Resort. Though numerous brands have been struggling, companies like Hyatt, Hilton, and Four Season are moving toward the timeshare concept for the added benefit they receive from maximizing mixed-use properties. Howard Nusbaum, President of ARDA explains “bringing more people to the property, whether they are hotel guests, timeshare owners or conference attendees will increases use of revenue generating facilities such as restaurants, spas and golf courses.â€
Orange Lake Resorts has evolved from a “best-kept secret†as the world’s largest single-site timeshare resort to a multi-site network of over 2,400 villas. Their strategic marketing alliance with IHG provides members access to Holiday Inn Club Vacations resorts in Wisconsin, Vermont and Florida and IHG’s network of more than 4,000 resorts worldwide. “We’re inviting our club members to open their eyes to a while new way of vacationing†said Don Harrill, president and CEO of Orange Lake Resorts. “Club membership allows our owners to be at the right place at the right times—with flexibility unmatched in the timeshare industry.â€
The 1,400-acre golf, water park and sports resort is adorned with an 80-acre lake for water sports. Directly next to Walt Disney World Resort, Orange Lake has proven to be one of the top leisure destinations in Florida. In a continuing effort to provide a superior vacationing experience, Orange Lake Resorts will develop and sell timeshare intervals of Holiday Inn Club Vacations under a license agreement from IHG. Owners too will gain access to RCI’s network of over 4,000 resorts.
