The New Hampshire-based Child Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County-South (CAC-HCS) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving and protecting victims of child abuse. Working to strengthen families and the community, a team of multi-disciplinary professionals in law-enforcement, prosecution, child protection, health care, and education all strive to support victims of abuse, as well as prosecuting the offenders.

Nationally collected data reveals that one in four girls and one in six boys will be sexually assaulted—and only one in ten will disclose their abuse. This statistic is unacceptable and is what motivates the members of CBM-Cares, a not-for-profit organization that is operated by business leaders and professionals in Southern New Hampshire. Working to plan fundraisers and events, CBM-Cares helps to educate people and to contribute to other organizations such as the CAC-HCS. This group truly serves a just cause, and they benefit greatly from any help the community can provide.

On Friday, April 11, 2008 The CAC-HCS hosted “an enchanted evening of music and magic” to raise funds for this noble effort. In addition to dinner and entertainment, a silent auction was held. Up for bidding were such prizes as Red Sox tickets provided by Edward Smith, President of College Bound Movers & Granite Clover Self Storage, also various gift baskets packed with merchandise, and by www.BuyATimeshare.com’s president Wes Kogelman, a stay at a luxurious timeshare and a pair of round-trip airline tickets to Las Vegas, Nevada. All proceeds went to keep these Child Advocacy Centers operational. Kogelman has been supporting not-for-profit organizations like the CAC-HCS for over 5 years. “This is a great group of people trying to help children who have been assaulted in any way” said Kogelman. “This benefit, put on by the Children Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County-South, is a great way to help raise funds for this cause.” As a board member for CBM-Cares Kogelman has also helped to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Hampshire, and the Boys and Girls Club of Souhegan Valley.

The Nashua campus is the second Child Advocacy Center to open nationally. Serving hundreds of children from ages 3 to 17, these centers provide a neutral setting for joint investigations and interviews, as well as community agencies for children and families. CBM-Cares helped raise over $5,000.00 dollars in one night, and all proceeds from this gala went to the Manchester and Nashua CACs.

Such generous funding is needed to keep these sanctuaries operational, regularly providing consultation and specialized training for hundreds of families. All Child Advocacy Centers provide children and their families with crucial services at no cost to them. Of the eight CACs in New Hampshire the statewide economic and social benefits are proof of the success these centers have been.
Reports indicate that the “typical” child abuse case investigation through a non-CAC method costs the county approximately $4,221.00. The same case, with help from a Child Advocacy Center, would cost the county $2,900.00. In the first three months of 2006 these centers saved the state of NH $86,000.00. Since opening in 2004, CAC-HCS has seen more than 650 children, saved the county approximately $854,100.00 in child abuse investigation.

Providing shelter, counseling, and police action is no small order. But the CAC-HCS has reduced the trauma experienced by children, and has helped non-offending parents become empowered to protect and support their children. Today, allegations of abuse and neglect are thoroughly investigated—more offenders are held accountable, and the community is better educated about the problem of child abuse.

Cynthia’s Las Vegas Vacation Continues with Hilton Grand Vacation April 24, 2008

In beautiful sunny Las Vegas, my journey throughout the various timeshare resorts continued on. After a trying trip with the folk at Westgate, I moved on toward downtown Vegas, at the lower end of the legendary strip. It was here that my long day paid off and was fortunate enough to visit the Hilton Grand Vacation at Las Vegas. This was my favorite among the many resorts I toured.

In order to truly understand the many resorts in this area I had to experience the room and find out firsthand the programs and packages available. The sales tour was effortless. After my last timeshare encounter I expected a slow, 4 hour visit. However, I found that after 40minutes we were given our lunch and complimentary tickets to a Toni Braxton show. There were no pushy sales representatives and I was able to learn and see a lot about this lovely resort.
The rooms were huge, fit for a King, though reasonably priced per dollar. I learned that when you bank your points with Hilton, they last forever—rather than expiring after a couple of years like with RCI or Interval International. With such a refined and posh look, this was certainly the level of comfort I could get used to. The view of Las Vegas and the awesome strip of casinos and restaurants were wonderful. More geared toward a family vacation, there is a kid-friendly side as is an adult side to the resort—separating the activity from the luxury.
The resort holds a great 5star restaurant near the lobby—this is a rare find in many resorts and is often a sought-after amenity. The Hilton Grand Vacation was definitely the best buy over all of the resorts I visited. And although the prices were not unreasonable, buyatimeshare.com advertises for motivated people looking to sell their timeshares. This is beneficial for serious buyers looking to save thousands of dollars. The developer will add as many extras as they can muster, but in the end, you’re only buying the room for a short stay each year. Save your money and come visit Las Vegas the right way, with buyatimeshare.com.

Timeshare Resale, More Popular Than Ever April 22, 2008

Buying a timeshare property on the resale market is becoming much more popular. Though this secondary market is still in its infancy, the service, prices, options and benefits outweigh any vacation property for sale on the primary market—anywhere. Buyatimeshare.com is fast-becoming a household name amongst those who are serious about buying, renting, and selling their timeshares.

Around the world there are nearly 10million members of timeshare clubs and demand for vacation property is growing. Many of those people succumbed to a timeshare developer and underwent their infamous sales presentations. Many of these folks where not even in the market to buy, and often did so due to high-pressure sales pitches.
There are a number of people who feel as if they were taken advantage of—finding nothing but disappointment when it finally comes to converting points/weeks into vacation. Often claiming salespeople used misleading tactics. However, timeshare can be a very cost effective vacation option. An RCI affiliation can get you into an apartment for $200.00 for an entire week, compared to some hotels who charge that per night.

Some people would rather the question free reliability of a hotel, after experiencing sub par service or dishonest sales representatives. But these representatives are not the problem, nor are their methods. Essentially it is your responsibility to read and understand what you sign. That is typically what we deal with at Vacation Property Resales. Our deals and services are not too good to be true. Plenty of people have come to us and wondered “what’s the catch?” Having been burned by many fraudulent salespeople, the timeshare industry is not like that. Though many people choose companies like Holiday Club to be the face of a deceitful industry, the truth is that all resorts operate the same way. They want you to buy their product, and if they convince you that their “points” are worth your hard earned cash, then it is hardly their fault if you buy into this. But the saying still stands, if it sounds too good to be true—it probably is.

The resale market can rescue you. We have customers who have dealt with aggressive and unscrupulous sales tactics before. They have been tricked and have wasted their money; their investment has turned to a liability. Why sit through a 45minute (2-3 hour) presentation when you can simply browse our web page at your leisure? With hundreds of properties priced to sell, there are no sales people interviewing and trying to be your best friend, no false promises or any inflated prices to deal with.

Always read the contract and beware of hidden fees, often subject to change without notification. There will most always be an annual maintenance fee. Finally, research the location and resort before buying… perhaps rent before you commit to a purchase. Timeshares can be ideal for vacation-goers who plan and book travel arrangements well in advance. Make sure the amenities, services, and timeframe is everything you and your family are looking for.

The points and properties listed on buyatimeshare.com are for-sale-by-owner, aggressively priced to sell for a fraction of what it would cost on the primary market. Our skilled and professional staff is ready to help you rent, buy, or sell a timeshare with no appraisal fees, no commission, no broker fees, and no sales pressure!

Cynthia’s Las Vegas Vacation with a Timeshare Rental April 18, 2008

While on vacation in sunny Las Vegas, I was fortunate enough to visit various resorts throughout this beautiful and exciting area. It was an experience of a lifetime to see firsthand what this incredible place had to offer. Along my trip I was able to take tours and truly understand the many resorts, programs, and packages available along the famed Las Vegas strip.
Although the hospitality industry was impressive in Vegas, they are no match for the genuine deals a serious buyer can find on buyatimeshare.com. A leading name in the timeshare resale industry, developers were consistently selling properties that were at least 30% higher than those advertised on buyatimeshare.com
During my expedition of the numerous resorts in the area, I first found my way to the Westgate Flamingo Bay. Set way off the beaten path, this quaint resort was only three miles from the infamous Vegas strip. This was a very family oriented place with a kid-friendly atmosphere. Not the place for honeymooners or couples looking to getaway from it all. It is however, ideal for family holidays. The facilities were well-kept, and they were selling float weeks, rather than set weeks. The benefits seemed to stop there however—the sales tour of the property was grueling. While I anticipated a 45minute walkthrough, three hours went by before we were given the opportunity to leave. The prices they were offering were extremely high for a property so far from civilization.
While the staff was quite pleasant, I could not help but notice that I knew more about the timeshare business than their sales representatives. And when it came down to buying, it turned out that the Flamingo Bay resort was sold out and they were in fact suggesting that I buy a property off site. This is becoming more popular amongst resort developers. Buyatimeshare.com has over 100 timeshares at Flamingo Bay. A suite with two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, float week, is priced at $1,900.00 TO BUY! With bargains fit for any budget on the popular resale market, why pay the developer’s inflated prices? For a beautiful stay off the bustling Las Vegas strip, the Flamingo Bay is a peaceful stay in the hot Nevada sun.
We heard about the up and coming Westgate property in Las Vegas will be an ominous resort—defining the future of vacation luxury. The Planet Hollywood Towers will be a 50-story glass monster outfitted with an all new Planet Hollywood Casino. It will house over 1200 vacation villas, and almost 30 executive penthouse suites, 12 premium restaurants with an eclectic range of cuisine, and a shopping mall packed with 140 stores. Though it won’t be built until 2011, half of the properties within this phenomenal palace have already been sold. Innovators in the entertainment and hospitality business have perched this giant on the center of the strip—surrounded by all the lights and nightlife of Vegas.

THE GOOD, THE BAD, and THE (not so) UGLY as seen by our own Diana Miller April 15, 2008

THE GOOD

Through an act of kindness by the President of BuyATimeshare.com, a timeshare resale company, I was fortunate enough to be awarded a free vacation to anywhere in the continental United States. This trip included a seven day stay at a timeshare resort of my choice.
My husband and I chose to return to the beautiful state of Arizona. We had previously been to the enchanting city of Scottsdale, and although it was gorgeous, we decided that this year we would leave the glitz and glamour behind—and tough it out in the desert of Sedona. This is a wise choice for those who want to experience magnificent views and the ever-changing colors of the mountains, rocks and skies; absolutely breathtaking! For those with a spiritual mindset, the “vortex” would be taken as a once in a lifetime experience. For those like me who wanted to experience the true beauty and rough terrain of the desert, Sedona is the place to go.
No need to bring your heels or make-up ladies, just a pair of comfortable jeans, good hiking boots, and of course a camera! The limitless excursions and sights are worth the trip to this incredible place. However, to experience Arizona as it truly is, be sure to visit the town of Jerome for the “good old boy” townsfolk, saloons and of course the shopping. You won’t be hard-pressed to find a restaurant in Sedona; your palate can be pleased with restaurants that feature anything from rattlesnakes to filet mignon.
Do not leave without visiting THE GRAND CANYON! I could honestly go on for hours about the magnificent beauty that this one “seven wonders of the world” has to offer. The best authors in the world would not do justice to describe the splendor, ruggedness, and breathtaking view that this giant has to offer!

THE BAD

To keep in line with the rough terrain that we knew we were about to encounter in the desert of Arizona, we decided to stay away from the five-star timeshare resorts, and stay at one that was more simplified, quaint and had easy access to both Phoenix and Scottsdale. We chose “The Sedona Pines Resort.” Upon arrival to the resort, we knew that this was not a destination for those looking for glamour, glitz and a mint on their pillow every evening!
Although the resort was very tiny, and not very sensational, it suited our needs as we did not plan to spend much time in the room anyhow. It was nice waking to the sound of the babbling brook just outside our bedroom window. The groundskeeper was on staff at all times and the maintenance of the resort was well kept.
When we checked in at the front desk we were introduced to the concierge, Peggy. Well equipped with knowledge of the state of Arizona, she pleasantly handed us brochures of places to go, things to see, and of course invited us to a “free excursion” with one little catch….that dreadful little tour of the timeshare resort that was to take place the following day.

THE (Not so) UGLY

Being in sales, I “promised” my husband that we would be in and out of there in half an hour! “NOT SO” (Boy was she good, and not so ugly either)! As all the guests waited for their timeshare sales rep to take them hostage, I kept thinking to myself, how can these people make a living trying to trick all these people into buying a timeshare for the ridiculous prices they were asking. I was soon to find out!
When I heard my name being called, I looked up to see this beautiful, well-dressed woman, who flashed her pearly whites at me and my husband, and I knew from then on, this could be trouble! Actually, this very educated and polished sales representative informed us that the Sedona Pines Resort was actually “sold out!” (Then what were we doing there, great let’s get out now!)
HOWEVER……… (Yup, here we go!) RCI Points would allow us to not only stay at the Sedona Pines Resort, but we could go anywhere in the world, including Australia (which, like a fool, my husband told her is the only international place he would care to go to). As she proceeded to tell us that RCI points would allow us to travel anywhere we wanted to, whenever we wanted to, I told her that although my husband was retired, I still worked and had a daughter that just moved away from home! (Me and my big mouth!)
As she flashed her pearly whites at Steve she mentioned that he and his friends didn’t have to use our points for a full week, they could use their points for a few days and ride their motorcycles and tour Sedona the way it should be seen. (By now, she knew our whole life history, our lifestyle and all of our friends on a first name basis!)

Much to my disappointment, my sales experience did nothing to getting us out of there within half-an-hour. As the clock ticked on toward our three hour hostage situation, I was about to jump out of my skin—boy, was she good at what she did. She had an answer for everything. Because she “really” liked me and Steve (yah right) she was going to give us a deal “as long as we didn’t tell anyone” (!!!) She was going to spin the wheel of fortune and “make it stop on Australia!” Wow, isn’t she nice?! The best part of all was that for a mere $37,990.00 (and a 17.9% finance charge) we could get 89,000 RCI points! Such a deal!—NOT!!! I told her we could not make a snap judgment—she went to speak with her manager and because she “liked” us, we were given a once in a lifetime offer.
She presented a bi-annual usage, a that-day only deal on a Sedona Pines Resort Phase Five, including the 89,000 RCI points at $35,990.00 with 20% down ($7,198.00) and we would save almost two thousand dollars. Thank God she “liked” us. Otherwise we would not have had the chance to:
• Go to Australia
• Pay $964.07 a month to travel once a year.
• Spend three hours locked up with Ann and realized how very special my husband and I are!
Thank God I knew about Vacation Property Resales, ranked #1 in the timeshare resale industry!! I can buy a timeshare or rent a timeshare with no hassle, no pearly whites glistening at me, and costing about 40% of the price that out “dear friend” offered us just because she “liked” us! I would like to say in closing: buyers beware of “The Good, The Bad and the Ugly”—visit buyatimeshare.com instead.

RCI and Dubai Begin A New Generation Of Timeshare Resales April 10, 2008

The timeshare industry has certainly come a long way from Super Devoluy in the French Alps. When Florida adopted the timeshare resort model during the 1970’s, the world could not have expected the popularity of deeded timeshare ownership. When Resort Condominium International (RCI) debuted in 1974 they provided owners with the flexibility to exchange their weeks between different timeshare resorts. Today this notion is commonplace and buyatimeshare.com has been putting people in contact with these fantastic opportunities for a decade.

RCI’s revolutionary take on the timeshare resort concept has propelled them to international distinction. Recently this subsidiary of the Wyndham Worldwide Family has increased its already staggering portfolio of over 67,000 vacation properties across 100 countries. Set to open in the summer of 2008, the latest in timeshare luxury is the Bavaria Executive Suites Dubai. Offering well over 400 apartments and more than 2000 one, two, and three bedroom hotel suites this brand-new location brings a superb view of “The Palm” and the Jumeirah beachfront. This represents the first timeshare development on Dubai’s prestigious Sheikh Zayed Road—a main industrial and commercial boulevard.

This immense complex significantly increases the number of hotel suites in Dubai and ushers in a new era of timeshare ownership and timeshare resales in the Middle East and North Africa. The huge investment made by the Dubai-based Al Ghaith Holdings goes to show the thriving success of timeshare and the hospitality industry as a worldwide heavyweight. The timeshare concept has been employed by countless companies that have seen the economic benefits and durability.

During the 2008 Vacation Ownership Investment Conference (VOIC) industry leaders from the world’s largest hotel and resort companies concluded that the Middle East locations, namely Dubai, holds incredible opportunity for growth. Such economic potential has inspired the financial fortitude of Sheikh Ali Hamel Al Ghaith, chairman of Al Ghaith Holdings—the powerhouse behind this enormous project. “We believe that this stunning project will change the way that people take holidays in this part of the world and our affiliation with Group RCI will enhance this even further” explained Sheikh Ali Hamel Al Ghaith.

The ever-expanding reach of the timeshare industry is no longer confined to the continental US, Europe, and a smattering of tropical islands—it is a global industry. This puts buyatimeshare.com in line to further our worldwide selection of vacation properties. Soon owners from this prestigious resort will put their timeshares on the resale market. This will offer the next generation of vacation luxury to people looking for new and exciting destinations. Bavaria Executive Suites Dubai flaunts the exotic seaside and superior location in the heart of new Dubai, with stunning scenery and near futuristic five-star amenities. At buyatimeshare.com we are anticipating the time when we can offer this magnificent property at the same priced-to-sell bargains we always

Vacation Property Resales has always been committed to helping people save thousands of dollars when buying their timeshares. We have sold thousands of vacation properties and have been encompassing all aspects of timeshare services for a decade. Buying, renting, and selling your timeshare property has never been easier!

Over the years there have been a number of changes and upgrades to our website—helping people to better utilize the buyatimeshare.com website. Recently, such upgrades have made Vacation Property Resales a leading name in the timeshare resales industry. Our customizable programs make certain that the timeshare you buy is everything you and your family truly wanted. Currently we are the first and only in the business to allow consumers the ability to sort advertisements by price, by length of time on the website, and by the amount of points attached to the property. On the cutting edge of marketing and advertising technology, our new search options are aimed at serious buyers and renters who have realized the ease of navigating online from the comfort of their own homes.

Another new aspect of the website is highlighting properties making their debut on buyatimeshare.com. Highlighted for five days, this emphasizes that these are new to the market and ready to sell. Of the various tools available to consumers, none promise more exposure than “Featured properties,” and “Hot Deals.” Featured properties maximize publicity by listing them at the top of the ad page, regardless of search criteria—featured properties are always on top. These properties are typically larger ads, attracting more viewers per day than any other.

Also to maximize exposure, owners looking to sell their properties will choose to list them as Hot Deals! These are shown down the right side of the homepage, and load 5 at a time, cycling through every 10 seconds. This gives twice the exposure to buyers, reaching vacation-goers before they even search the Vacation Property Resales database. Such instant results are only possible at buyatimeshare.com, dedicated to linking potential buyers with motivated sellers.
Even those on the most modest budget can find themselves affordable timeshare(s). Everyone will save thousands of dollars buying on the resale market—but it is our “Smokin’ Deals” that display all of the listings aggressively priced $5,000.00 and below. From Mexico to Florida, you can find the same assortment as you would with our most expensive properties listed.

Buyatimeshare.com is the first in the industry to allow consumers to tailor their search. “Timeshare Pulse,” an innovative new program has been designed to help buyers and renters specify exactly what they are looking for. Enter precise information about the timeshare(s) you want to rent or buy and all advertisements that match the profile will be shown. Furthermore, any new advertisements that are entered into our system will be immediately emailed to you. Buying or renting a timeshare has never been easier!

During Economic Trouble, Timeshare Ownership is a Vacation Safe Haven. April 2, 2008

Hotel companies have been found vulnerable to the once supposed economic slowdown. The US has been writhing with talk of this ominous economic slowdown that is affecting fuel prices, airfare, and the housing market. As every other lodging company panics in fears of a recession, the timeshare industry has been a beacon of hope for those in the hospitality business.

At Vacation Property Resales we have seen unwavering success in the timeshare resale business. While many consumers are tightening their spending, timeshares bring such an economic advantage that many American vacation-goers are beginning to find solace in this cost-effective travel option. Susquehanna Financial Group’s gaming, lodging, and leisure analyst Robert LaFleur said in a recent interview that timeshares continue to very profitable businesses while also providing a way for companies to extend their brand.

Hotel companies like Marriott International have anticipated a troubled future. In March 2008 they lowered their revenue per available room (RevPAR) growth target. RevPAR is a measurement of performance in the hotel industry typically calculated by multiplying a hotel’s average daily room rate, by its occupancy rate. Starwood Hotels & Resorts had also projected a low RevPAR growth of only 7percent in 2008, down from 10.2percent last year. It is RevPAR estimates like this that have led some investors to fear an industry wide slowdown—as these companies have seen double-digit gains in past years.

While hotel sales may be experiencing a lull, those established in the timeshare industry have not seen significant weakness in the U.S. market. CNN Money reported on March 28, Wyndham Worldwide had vacation ownership revenue rise 4percent, while Marriott’s timeshare sales and services are up 2percent. Apparently consumers have not let whatever economic troubles they have seen affect their leisure. Buyatimeshare.com has also seen owners sticking with their timeshare purchases. People are finding timeshares to be a cost-effective alternative to owning a vacation home. Compared to a mortgage, and second home ownership maintenance costs, vacation property ownership is extremely cheap—especially after consumers have purchased the first one and have seen the amenities, luxuries, and affordability of timeshare ownership.

Such an affordable alternative to second home homeownership, timeshares have increased in popularity among those who would otherwise own a vacation home. In today’s unsure marketplace, vacation home owners have opted to defray costs and make their homes available as a vacation rental. Even during America’s economic fright, timesharing is a safe and consistent way to ensure you get a vacation when you need it. Even though folks may not spend as much on vacation, they will vacation and will want to at a desirable destination found at BuyATimeshare.com
