December 23rd, 2006 I went through a vacation property tour. This began with getting three days of vacation for only $99.00 a night. My boyfriend and I arrived at Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa. The only way we were awarded the $99.00 a night stay was if we took a tour of the timeshare.
We were scheduled for a 9am meeting with Westgate sales rep Patty the next morning, but she didn’t show up until 10am. She took 3 hours to explain everything she was going to provide to us and how she was going to save us hundreds of dollars. She took us through the sample unit, and began to ask us how much we spend on food each trip, explaining that a kitchen in the unit would save us money. She emphasised the trading power this unit would have, and the luxury of a kitchen in the unit, and a nearby pool. I was very interested in the things she was telling me, but I wanted to shop around before I made such a large investment.
I began searching the resale market, and found www.BuyaTimeshare.com. Their site was the most comprehensive, and had the best prices overall. I called with any questions I had regarding the Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa, and they were answered promptly and courteously by the Buyer Specialist Department. Much easier, and more time efficient than a timeshare presentation!
I ended up going with resale over retail, and saved over half the cost!

Buying a timeshare isn’t always the easiest decision to make. When you walk into a resort and get bombarded with sales pitches and aggressive salesman, it only takes away from the positive vibes that vacationing is supposed bring.
Over the course of a couple months, my wife and I have been in the market for a vacation package. The three hour presentations, cheap champagne, and the promises of luxurious bonus cruises, and weeks shared with more timeshare salesman did not seem appealing to me. I started focusing on the resale market for timeshares. Honestly, everywhere I looked I saw a www.BuyaTimeshare.com.
They were first on all of the search engines. After doing 2 months of extensive homework it came down to www.BuyaTimeshare.com. They were able to speak intelligently about the Marriott timeshare I was interested in and had all the necessary tools for quick closing as well as financing. I do not have to wait for you to answer, and if you are busy, you call right back. Your department answers all questions and if you have to check information with an owner, you call me back promptly. It’s a refreshing feeling to get this quality of service!

ARDA Photo & Story Contest May 21, 2007
Posted by Jason Dobbins in : ARDA , add a commentAmerican Resort Development Association (ARDA) is putting on a Photo and Story Contest. They say a picture is worth a thousand words but at ARDA they believe it is worth a $1000. If you have some great photos from your vacation it also could be worth $1000.Â
The Story contest is about your most memorable vacation memory at your timeshare. Your submission must be between 250 and 750 words. Photos of your timeshare vacation must be a minimum of 300dpi resolution and only electronic entries will be accepted. Unlimited entries are allowed so start writing.

Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort Adds A New Feature May 16, 2007

Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort has recently added a new attraction: a fully-enclosed indoor water park! The Wild Bear Falls indoor water park (around 60,000 sq. ft.) is one of the largest indoor water parks in the country and will certainly be a hit with families visiting this resort. The park boasts a retractable roof, a 900 ft. long lazy river, 300 ft. tube slide, 360 ft. body slide, a tree house with cascading water and a baby pool. And if that isn’t enough to keep kids busy, there is also a snack bar and game room included!
Westgate Resorts has been exploring new and cutting edge features to add to their resorts to be recognized as the best timeshare company in the industry. This $10 million dollar water park officially opened April 4th, 2007 with a grand opening celebration hosted by Westgate CEO David Siegel.

Westgate has struck a deal with Planet Hollywood to build a brand new, state-of-the-art resort in the heart of Las Vegas. This $750 million dollar project will be named “Planet Hollywood Towers by Westgate Resorts” and will have 1200 timeshare units ranging from 1-4 bedrooms, and 28 exclusive penthouse suite units with a full casino to fulfill one’s gambling urge. One ground level pool and a special pool on the 46th floor (just for penthouse suites), restaurants, deli and fitness center make this resort one of the most (sinfully) bliss destinations in the timeshare industry. Owners at this resort will have direct access to the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, which offers many restaurants and a full shopping center.
Other impressive features include:
Gross area of more than 3.2 million square feet including 2.3 million square feet of living space
14,000-square-foot lobby
35,000 square feet of meeting and convention space
16,000 square feet of elegant dining
3,100-square-foot fitness center
16,000-square-foot sales center
Units are currently being sold pre-construction. Penthouse units range from 4000 to 10,000 sq. ft. and will start in the $4 million range. Construction is currently ongoing with completion slated for 2008.
