Wild Oaks was the vision of the late Joe Hassler in the 1960's. He designed the course which opened for business in 1972. The course was owned and operated successfully by Hassler until the early 1990's. Wild Oaks has been owned and managed by several companies in the last decade and was closed from 2004-2007 as previous owners contemplated a housing development on the property. Wild Oaks was named after four original Oak trees that stood on the course when it was built. The one remaining tall oak tree(right) that sits to the right side of the second fairway on the White course at Wild Oaks is roughly 450 years old. It's the last of four oak trees that characterized the course when it was first built. 49 minutes from nearest major city, Philadelphia, PA 49 minutes from nearest major airport, Philadelphia Intl.
