The course rating is 73.2 and it has a slope rating of 129 on Blue grass. Designed by William Overdorf, the Homestead golf course opened in 1993. Bill Chrysler manages the course as the General Manager.

Lake Padden is home to an 18 hole championship golf course measuring 6,675 yards, which plays about 20% longer than the actual yardage. It is also home to the Bellingham Amateur Tournament held every Labor Day Weekend and has hosted the Washington Senior Open. A traditional style layout, the course has many holes that seem as though they are tucked away in the outdoors and make you feel like you are on your own, personal golf course.
