Kona Coast II unit is 2 BR, 2 bath with full kitchen and washer/dryer. It is close to Kona and its shops, dining, activities. Large balcony with beautiful sunset views. Close to shopping mall (walking distance) with grocery, dining, service station. Short walk to beach with great snorkeling, including turtles. Large clubhouse with restaurant. Two large swimming pools. Next to golf course. Two nights a week local vendors come in with coffee, produce, jewelry, clothing, gifts. Big Island offers active volcanos (not near the resort!), white, black, and green sand beaches. Mona Kea Beach Hotel, the first resort on the Kona side, built by the Rockefeller's, is still in business and is truly elegant, with a beautiful beach, with limited access. The Waikaloa resort area has multiple hotels, restaurants, shops. Nearby is one of the best beaches in the US, Hapuna, with full public access. Waipio Valley is not really a hidden gem, but it is not entered frequently by tourists, as it is a strenuous hike and requires 4-wheel drive due to the 27% grade. However, it is highly recommended. Kona Coast II is ideally located as a base to see all of the Big Island.
