Cannon Ridge Golf Club - The Beman Course

Opened in 2003, Cannon Ridge is a Par 71 layout measuring 7,010 yards from the back tees. The greens, tee boxes, and fairways are L-93 Bent grass, while the rough is a combination of Tall Fescue and Kentucky Bluegrass. Spread out over 200 acres of historic Virginia countryside, Cannon Ridge Golf Club is a great place to invite all your special clients, V.I.P.'s, or even just good 'ol Dad out for a round of golf. Meadows Farms Golf Course - Island Green/Longest Hole/Waterfall

The 180 acre course has been designed by Bill Ward, Jr. - an up and coming designer with six golf courses to his credit - the latest - a Championship Course in Cumberland, Maryland. Ward has put maximum effort into designing 27 holes, each one with a distinct character.

The 'original' Somerset opened its first nine holes in 1997, a Jerry Slack design set amongst the rolling and densely forested (in spots) pastoral farm lands of central Virginia (about fifteen minutes west of Fredericksburg off of Rt. 3). The second nine holes completed the track a year later. For those who first tried the course, they found a lot of very enjoyable holes, a few that they wanted to 'blow up' (this is an actual quote from one player), and unfortunately for the folks managing the facility at the time, a less than burning desire to return.
