We've taken family members on trips they simply could not have done on their own. A few years ago our brother went to the HGVC resort in Portugal and raved about it. Since an average weeks stay at most US resorts is around 3,000 points, 12,600 will give you options for so many trips. Need a weekend get-away? Use points for a 3 night stay. We have been owners for 12 years and hate to give it up. We've enjoyed so many family times - but a family member's illness is forcing us to give it up.
