Originally built in 1913, our course remained nine holes of little recognition until 1988 when it was redesigned and expanded to an 18 hole championship layout by the renowned architect Geoffrey Cornish.
Today our 6,663 yard, par 72 course takes maximum advantage of the mountain vistas and natural beauty of the area. Large well trapped greens, tree-lined fairways and five tee positions make play challenging for golfers of every ability.
America's Greatest Golf Resorts magazine has rated our layout among the top ten resort courses in all of the Northeast and Golf Digest magazine has awarded us with 3 1/2 stars. Home of the New England PGA Fall Festival Pro-Am, New England Couples Tournament, our course is respected as one of the best in New England.
Bethel is Maine's cross country ski capital, and The Bethel Inn leads the way with 40 kilometers of groomed and marked trails right out our back door. Our fairway trails include mountain vistas and gentle terrain while our forest trails offer challenges for skiers of all levels and journeys of almost any length. Our on-premise Ski Shop offers skis and winter gear for purchase or rental.
Fine dining is a hallmark of The Bethel Inn Resort. Our menus are creative, and entrees are well prepared by our award winning Chef. We have been honored by Wine Spectator Magazine with its "Award of Excellence".
